If there is only one piece of advice that I could give to each and every one of you—it is that you take the time to journey.
If you're one of the many like myself, who have grown up in one state practically your whole life, then you need to pick a new state and just go! If you've already traveled from state to state growing up, then just pick an entire new country!
I believe that this world is beyond too roomy, to simply live in one place for too long of a time period. When will you ever be this young again? You are free to do (well... almost) anything you want. How could you not run with that privilege and explore any of the other places on this 3,959 mile wide Earth? (yeah, I totally had to google that). LIFE IS ALL ABOUT THE JOURNEY. It is too short to waste any of it.
This first blog post is the stepping stone for the new journey I am undertaking—1,100 miles away from the only home I've ever known—all the way to San Diego, California!
I knew that I wanted to adopt California as my second home, ever since my first visit when I was only 6 years old. I lost sight of that vision though, as my teenage years went on. Long story saved for another time, but about a month ago I spontaneously took a road trip to San Diego, and, well obviously... it was love at first sight.
I immediately knew this was the place where I wanted to start a new adventure. So now, my things are packed and I leave in a few days.
This blog as an entirety, is going to be more than just about my journey to some new place—it is going to be about my journey through this new life. My new beginning.
I recently ran across a YouTube video on Tips for Starting a Healthy Lifestyle (literally bless u Tori Sterling) and nothing has ever ever inspired me more. I recommend it so much!!
After that video, the realization finally hit me. There is absolutely nothing stopping me from being the best me I can be. I'm going to be in a new environment, all by myself for the first time and I finally have the chance to do everything I have ever wanted to do—without any distractions.
That thought, right there my friends, has made me more excited than I've ever been about anything else in my entire life (Even Disney Land). It is a feeling that I wish upon every single human being. True Freedom. True Happiness.
I am so excited to begin this new journey and share all of my adventures with you. I hope it brings you nothing but inspiration.
